Local communities have a far better understanding of how to protect themselves than bureaucratic federal agencies. Local communities and the Federal Government should work together. The anti-government approach that so many have isn't the answer. However, the government knows best isn't the answer either. Instead of spying on and condemning local citizens, the Federal Government should work with local citizens.
Here are just a Few Ideas
Fourth Line of Defense Training. Active duty military, guard and reserve could be overwhelmed. We can provide training for Afghans and Iraqis but not Americans? We could provide local communities with local hardware confiscated in Iraq and Afghanistan. Each town could have several armories or simply for greater security simply turn over the weapons to local citizens who would be like modern day minute men. These local minutemen should remain anonymous to prevent and enemy from obtaining a name list.
Develop Local Food and Medical Caches. Most Americans only have a few
Day’s food and medical supply.
Maintain Local Communication
In the event of the phone/ internet system being taken out provide all local
communities with short-wave receivers/transmitters concealed in Faraday cages
to protect against natural or man-made electromagnetic pulse (emp). This is
extremely inexpensive.
Above all we must ensure that the Constitution should prevails. If the
Constitution dies so does America.
Benjamin Franklin:
"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
America certainly isn't ready.
